OUCH!! I've looked around and found both the DD trans pan & the rear diff cover for about 260 bucks each. I'm gonna get the tranny pan first.

Yeah I found them cheaper too but then I'd had to pay shipping!! If I can do anything without shipping I am much happier!!!

Oh crud, I better take off my DD and put one on that holds 4 qts less than stock so the oil will cool quicker. Sure.

I can see his point but you are making more cooling surface area to cool down the fuild. To me its like going to a two core rad to four core it does add more coolent but more area. I am sure there is sum math involved two figure it all out, but I am pretty sure the manufacture of the pans did their home work on there pans, same with a rad or tranny cooler manufacture.

2003 qcab 2wd sbox full gauges no cat paid for and mostly stock

Where is your temp sensor located? In the hot line, the pan, or ????

I have mine in the hot cooler line, leading up to the coolers.

Has anyone compared ground clearance on the 2wd, pulling my 27' fifth wheel from a stop trans temps stills gets up to 210-215. I need to get my temps down to help the protect transmission.
