Lug nut size?

What size socket does a 2005 3500 SRW with factory chrome clad steel wheels take? I tried i think it was an 1 1/8 6pt and it seemed to fit but i figured they would be metric. Thanks in advance. I have 5500 miles and need to rotate my tires.

For a lug wrench I use a Craftsman 18in 1/2in drive breaker bar and a 15/16in deep socket. I keep one in each vehicle (with the right size socket), and have never had a problem taking lug nuts off.

Keith:

After my first post, I re-read your original question and realized that I did not answer your question. Sorry. The info I posted was out of the Svc. Manual.

I went out into the garage and found that a 15/16 socket fit the lug nuts on my '04 3500 perfectly.
