Just dont get in a hurry dumping it in, talk about thick stuff. I have used all but the motor oil. I do use a quart of oil stabilizer, make molasses look like water. They make good stuff. Some say it is too thick and can actually trap air bubbles in the fluid, thus actually take away from lubrication at high revolutions. I think it was Bob the oil guy's site that did a study on it?

I have to agree with WL, on this one. Do some more research before buying.

Bob is the oil guy.com did have a test, with pictures, of gear oil. I do not remember if it was Lucas Gear Oil or just their gear oil additive. I believe it was the latter. The product caused enough air to become entrained in the gear oil that it took on a creamy look, to it. The theory is that air is not a good lubricant & the test showed a lot of air in the gear oil.

In no way does this mean that all or any of the Lucas products are bad. However, this one test did reveal, what many would consider, an undesireable effect.

You might want to go over to the "bob is the oil guy.com" site & look up the "transmission & rear-end gear oil" forum, to see what others think of available gear oils, including the Lucas products. Be sure to check-out the other lubrication-related forums that meet your interests.
