Found a type of pointed nipple at our Canadian Tire store to adapt to my grease gun and greased the driveshaft the other day. Seemed to work well as I heard some poping as the grease was working its way through. The fitting was just long enough for it to get in there.
Did the Tie rods as well and noticed a little water getting forced out . The way it has rained here this winter im sure it was needed.

I feel ypur pain! I got the Napa# 715-1213 needle, still no good! All my grease ended up on the outside. I am going to try taking a long needle and see if I can push in the valve ball, I think it just might needing freeing up!

You will need a needle fitting (but not the real sharp type) to put grease in it. There's somebody on here witha better picture than mine, but it gives you a general idea.

the picture is me laying on the graound, head at oil pan, feet at rear drive shaft, looking at the front drive shaft.

In the aircraft world these are called "high pressure zerk fittings", the male ones are low press.

I bought this one from NAPA: 715-1215, and it looks like this

Others on that board say it works, but it hasn't worked for me yet. The needle definitely isn't the best, because it just bends and get's screwed up prety fast.

I think most like the 715-1213 because it's longer.

I use the thin longer needle one, I have several different size needle fittings from years of collecting tools, but after trying different sizes the one I stated works best for me because it fits better off angle, however you still get some grease pushing back out at you.
