Lowering a 2WD 2006 QC?

hey guys I am trying to drop the back of my 4dr QC a few inches and not lose any payload capacity or towing ability. It just sits WAY up in the back and I cant stand it. I saw a thread on here a while back about some shackle brackets that were shorter, from a place in AZ. I cannot find the thread and was curious to know if anyone had a simple solution to dropping the back a few inches. Thanks, Troy

in the back there are two spacer blocks under your leaf springs. If you take those out and put them above your springs you can retain stock u-bolts and drop truck 2 inches in rear. There is a thread on it in the RV towing section on it where 5th wheel haulers drop rear because sits two high to load 5th wheel up. Did this to my 2500 2wd and have no problems yet.

Mine doesnt have those spacers, it's a 2WD. I just looked at it and it has 3 reg springs and one big one that looks like an overload.

I tried using short shackles on my 04, 2 wheel drive, but I have rear air bags, and the shackles won't work with air bags, I ending up selling them to someone with the same truck as mine and they dropped rear of his truck 2 inches. He's where I got them.Hope this helps.

Remember that any time you change the ride height of a vehicle you may have to change the d-shaft angle. If you do not you may get a vibration.
