Looking for 2WD Low switch DIY, need help

I have tried searching on the site with no luck. Can someone point me in the right direction for the install of the 2WD Low Switch?

Thanks

The kit only shows trucks from 1994 - 2001 model year. Is this mod possible for the 3rd gen. I remember seeing it in the past but it ay have been in the 2nd gen forum.

No such critter for the 3rd gen trucks. You have to replace the unitized wheel bearings\hubs with lockouts to get a functiuonal 2-lo.

Sorry

Sorry
How expensive and hard is it to do the above. I am already planning to do my ball joints this spring. I think I burned up my trans by backing trailers up in reverse the past 5 years.

From $1300 - $2100 depending on the kit options and the supplier. EMS Offroad, Dynatrac and Solid Axle are the only manufacturers I'm aware of.

You have to ompletely disassemble the front hubs and I think stub shafts to do the conversion. Getting the unitized bearings out can be huge chore.

Like other said, cost is fairly high for what you want. Granted steering in 4 low on dry ground is annoying but it beats a toasted trasmission.

With 3.73 and 315 tires too much backing on a stock trans is gonna cause issues.

I agree, I guess its 4 low for me. Sure would be nice to have a 2-low though.
