A little worried

Okay, so I just got scary larry from a friend and I get great fuel milage and even better track times, but, on the trip to work this morning I went to accelerate past a car and while the truck went faster it started missing like it was defueling under throttle. Is it time for a new PRV?

well any excess fuel is used to cool the CP3 and returned to the tank. If you are running out of fuel then there is no excess fuel and no cooling.

If it was me, I would detune to save my parts.

If you are using more fuel than your FP and CP3 can provide then you will notice a decrease in performance. Try sucking through a coffee straw.....kinda the same concept....you need more air than what the straw will allow. If you have more than enough fuel on demand for use then you probably won't have your symptoms any longer.

Just a thought.

Thats what I was thinking, I also talked to one of my buddies at gos performance over in Montana and he said without sitting in the truck it sounded like I might be hitting my boost limiter, I am running my stock turbo and don't have a fooler on. Does that sound like good advice?

Possibly, but to me it sounds like a fuel problem. Kind of like sucking the fuel bowls dry on a gasser carb.

gotcha, after I get the AD put on I will make some runs on full power and put up my results, my buddy did say he will give me a silver 62 at cost though so I am thinking that will be next.

Your AirDog will provide the fuel but your limitation will be your CP3 once again. It will only allow so much fuel to pass through it without some minor mods like II's "bag of parts" or the like.

ok, I had a 12 valve before, If i wanted more fuel I turned up the pump, isn't that what an adjustable programmer does to the cp3? Trying to figure this out, I understand supply to pump, just need to figure out past that.

Yes, a programmer will allow the injectors to use more fuel....more than your CP3 will supply. With the AD and the programmer your fuel system bottleneck will still be the CP3. You will need to mod your CP3 to "open up" the flow through it.

Your programmer has no direct effect on the CP3, other than possibly starving it, or possibly draining the fuel rail, which falls back on the CP3 once again.

I have a similar issue.....but, I'm thinking it might be your boost limitation. Have you checked your codes? I did and a P0234 was present. (Boost pressure too high) Since this issue I have been unable to make over 28 PSI. I'm just suggesting that you keep it simple because most of the time the problem is very simple and inexpensive. Good luck!
