I Found mine out of Ron's Machining service. I paid 664 for it that is the price with the bearing and race kit so that you don't have to remove and possibly ruin the old bearings. They seemed to know what they were talking about and answered all of the questions i had about the limited slip and how to install it.

No problems with mine either............great fun in the rain!! But she will try to jump out from under you. On dry road...............2 lovely black stripes and a whole lotta black and white smoke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

turns out i was right...i dont have a limited slip. he quoted me between $1,000 and $1,500 for all parts and install. i am thinkin bout purchasing the one off of ebay or maybe the ring & pinion website listed above. for anyone who has purchased a limited slip-how aggressive are they and say you were to get on ice/snow conditions and one starts to slip does the other wheel turn right away?

Depends on how hard you mash the E-brake... Torsen gear-type limited slips are torque biased, so they need something to push against to transfer power to the tractive side.

well i dont plan on mashing the ebrake...i am talking about when it snows here and the roads get slick. just regular driving on snow/ice covered roads

The AAM's limited-slip rear won't tend to get loose in a turn on slick surfaces as easily as the clutch-pack Dana LS design, but you will likely need to brake in order to use the AAM's Torsen-style limited slip in those conditions.

You will absolutely need to drive differently with an anti spin diff. in the snow/ice and rain conditions. As many have said the entire back end will all of a sudden trade places with the front end on turns. IT is much more fun to drive IMO but respect needs to be given in slippery turns.

so that helical limited slip at ring and pinion.com does it work similar to a regular limited slip?

I've go a limited slip differential in my '03 3500 dually and it works great. I just put it to use pulling some large old shrubs. Two identical indentions in the lawn from wheel spin. Have also seen it in operation on the beach in south Texas.
