It seems DC has had this LP issue since the 2nd gen's but has only done enough to barely keep enough fuel going to the pumps to hopefully make it out of warranty period, well that's probably for another thread.

I installed a fuel pressure gauge @ 15,000 miles to find that my truck would still pull down to 3-4 psi with only intake and exhaust done. Hoping to avoid cp3 replacement I installed the FASS 150 gph and have 45,000 miles now and have not had any problems yet (knock on wood), I know that I will definetly know if the fass goes down because the thing is so loud.

Would definetly recommend running a fuel conditioner!

What gives, Now I'm mad Because this time it fail at work, so I had a $200 tow jobs because dodge roadside ***. does't pay for your tow if you have a welder bolted in the back. Now,I'm missing out on a lot of pay because I can't work for four days till my truck is fixed. Dodge tells me that's not there problem, I need to slap someone there. Now that I'm done my *itching, is there a better after market lift pump that will not fail.
Yup stock pump is junk. Replaced mine last year and was working perfectly supplying 8.5 psi. Why did I spend 700 bucks for the fass&filters? Didn't do it for the pressure gain or performance(stock truck),or the snake oil fuel/air seperation theory but the long term proven reliabilty of the fass and the great big filters. The 2003 HPCR Bosch fuel injection system is new to NorthAmerica but old news in Europe. European diesel fuel is a higher standard than the junk they sell us here. I wanted filtration and reliable pressure for the long term. Anybody with a full fass have their cp3 fail/leak? running without power modes? Haven't read a line on this site or others in two years.

I had mine replaced with the in tank one in December. This is my 3rd LP. I hope it work as I will be going caribou hunting next fall to James Bay (Arctic Tundra). There is no DC up there so the towing would be very expensive .
