Leaking CP3, what to expect at dealer?

So my CP3 is starting to leak even more now, and the weather is getting warmer. First noticed this winter that a couple wire harnesses that run under the CP3 were soaked with fuel, and the electriacal tape was all melted/sticky mess. That is when i noticed that the nice clear coating they put on the CP3's was discolored yellow and peeling off all over the bottom. Can't tell exactly where its coming from, but after cleaning it all up and watching it spread again, i suspect its from where the aluminum and steel halfs of the CP3 go together (different rates of expansion = trouble for seals).

After a trip this weekend, i noticed the top of my steering gear box is coated in what smells like fuel from the CP3 getting blown all over. I've heard the dealer won't fix it under warranty unless the CP3 is leaking enough to drip all over the floor while it was in the shop.

So do i qualify as bad enough leak now to get it done under warranty of should i just save my breath and replace the seals myself and be done with it?

If you have warranty left, go to dealer. If you have to do it yourself, 3 hours, $14 in o-rings, 5 beers and you are done. Even for the first timer.

The only reason I did it myself because i would have to pull my Edge off before taking it in, and that is too much of a hassle for me. I figured i'd do some research, kill a sunday afternoon, learn a thing or two and drink some beer. Would definately do it again.

JR, I like your style. Considering the 3 hr it would take arguing with the dealer and the 15$ in fuel to get there, i think i might do it myself. Plus the first time i was in they said by adding my low press. fuel gague feed at the CP3 i might have voided the warranty?

Where did you get the o-rings from and are they the viton ones that are 1mm bigger? I read another post somewhere on how to do the all the seals and o-rings but i rememeber people were having a hard time finding some of the o-rings. Pretty easy to remove the CP3?
