Leak From Inspection Plate
I just recently installed my trans over the weekend. Drove it all weekend without any issue, shifted good and no leaks anywhere.
I come out of the house this morning and seen a small puddle of tranny fluid, dripping out of the inspection cover. Is this an indictor that I over filled it? I put in 11 qts, I was a little over the "full" mark on the dipstick for my final reading.
Thanks.

Probably not. It would indicate a leaking front seal where the input shaft goes into the trans. The converter has a big seal there and if you nicked it putting it in that's probably what's causing it to leak.

I was pretty cautious when sliding the TC on the shaft, I rotated it left and right to seat it. Then I stabbed in the trans. Is it possible I damaged the seal while installing the tranny? I got sortive ruff with it.
I just walked outside and their isn't a single leak on my driveway now?
