Latest oil analysis - should I worry about the iron?
I got my latest OA from Blackstone and they say my iron is a little high. They say my 7500 intervals are fine, but if the iron bothers me, to shorten them. What does higher than normal iron mean and is it anything to worry about? This report was using Valvoline Premuim Blue CJ-4 oil.

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
The iron is tending downward to some extendt. It is however puzzling as advised by Blackstone. In addition look at the Moly and Potassium????
How much towing do you do? I saw my highest iron reading after a very long extremelly difficult tow, but it took 20,000 to get were yours is at 7500? HUM!!!
The first EOA was with factory oil and can understand the values high on wear in. Your engine should be worn in at this time however. How about looking carefully at the air filter system. See if residue is on inside of air tubes. I'm sort of like Blackstone. Run another and see. Intresting, keep us posted.
