km per tank?

Read my sig as to what I have. I'm holding my last fueling receipt in my hand. Trip 1038.3 km's which is 645.1697 miles. Filled up in Seattle 36.556 US GAL. @ $2.999. Do the math and I got 17.65 mpg. So abc4yew what's not to believe here?

N.Johnson, Sorry, I did not mean to offend but you put about 140 liters of fuel in that tank. Like I said "what is your tank size" and we need that "missing info." I've sputtered into the pumps and the most I've been able to squeeze in was 126 litres. Now that you have 14 more liters than me that explains everything. Lucky dog to have the larger tank. I am thinking of getting the 56 gallon tank so I can get rid of my 125 gallon external tank and put it in the trailer for trips. Less likely to lose fuel when it is locked in a cabinet inside the trailer. I don't know if I could make it 1000 km or more between Tim's though. ks

With my Banks Pwr PDA on lvl 3 and driving normal (Only flooring it and bumping it to level 6 up to 5 times per day) I'm getting about 600miles out of 35gal. That complicated multiply by 0.6 & 3.84 math is more than this redneck can do at this time of night.

Hey abc4yew no offence taken. Since I've got the long bed it is a 35 US gallon tank. I just happen to always fill to the rim. Gotta get that vent mod done. Also I have no fueling mods other than the Fass and Rokk. You've got the mother of all boxes TST so I don't think you'll ever see 600 miles or 1000km out of a full tank unless you leave it on 1-0. I know I couldn't do it, give me a power button and I'll push it for sure. My next mod is the exhaust and something with the stock airbox. TST won't come till I can afford the tranny work. Great forum and could I ask all Canadians if they could drop the imperial gallon thing, that went out 30 years ago and I ain't no young fella.

To convert do the following using 18 mpg as example:
18*1.6(converts miles to kms)=28.8km/gal
28.8km/gal/3.78(converts gallons to liters)=7.619km/L
100km/7.619km/l=13.125L/100km
If I fill up near the empty it takes about 115 L so at 18mpg that would be approx. 876km per tank (115/13.125km/L*100=876.19km)
18*1.6(converts miles to kms)=28.8km/gal
28.8km/gal/3.78(converts gallons to liters)=7.619km/L
100km/7.619km/l=13.125L/100km

NJ. I've got the longbox dually but the smaller tank. Yep I spend 99% of my time on 1/0 unless towing or racing. Another 6 degrees of timing advance and I'd be getting 1000 km on my little tank. Yep, I wish I had done the tank vent kit with the drop when I put the FASS pick up into the tank. I even had a 3 foot piece of fuel line left over. I thought that by leaving the fuel line hooked up to the old pick up that I would have venting.....nope. Maybe if I disconnected it from the stock lift pump. I tend to carry a 20 lire yellow jug in the back of the truck when towing distances. When I fill up I dump it in to top up and fill it again. Saves 5 minutes of milking the pump. ks
