has 92k on it, drives straight as an arrow, quad cab short box, I have had a 2nd gen for 7 years but just picked up this one 3 days ago and am wondering if there is anything I should know about these trucks that I need to do. Im fairly new to the 3rd gens. Let me know

 

Look at the sides of the intercooler. Some had plastic sides that were prone to breaking, causing a loss of boost.

Other than the normal ball joint problems third gens have, that should be it.

If you have the canister mounted fuel pump might give ya fits, plastic sides on the intercooler and the famous front end. other then that, Just get in and turn the key.

 

Keep your fuel filtered really good oh and don't flip your mirrors up unless you need them HAHA sorry just a pet peave

 

05 started the in tank lift pump. no issue to worry about for him. also to note, some 05s and 06s have injector issues as well.
