Just changed my oil and filters.
This truck is EASY to work on. I'm really happy with it. I put new oil, oil filter, fuel filter and air filter in Big Boy. Now he's all ready for our next big trip - CA to WI and back in two weeks pulling our Nash TT.

Good deal! I got into a habit of changing my oil filter from above with my '95, '98 and '01.5. So with my '03, I like to remove the intake hose and change it from above. When you get around to changing the differential fluid, you'll be happy about the reuseable gasket and how easy the procedure is without having to scrape sealer off of the cover and pumpkin and re-apply it.
Hope you have a great trip!

Youhave to get under it to pull the plug and drain the oil anyway so what's so hard about taking 1 minute to pull the oil filter
It take slot longer to pull the intake and then pull the oil filter than it does to do it from below gives me more time to drink

You make a good point but old habits are hard to break. From underneath when I look way up there at the filter, I picture a little overflow running up my arm and into my armpit. That and I like to wipe off the mounting surface before I put the new filter on. And I still had some filters left over from Fleetquard that didn't have the fluted end to fit the filter wrench I don't have. But... I might get around to changing it from below some day.
Tranny pan? The gasket is reusable if you don't damage it. I'm going to find out here in a few days when I drain and refill so I can install my temp probe in the pan.
