it wasnt shifting properly so they adjusted the kickdown linkages and it was still into each gear and not downshifting at a stop, trying to pull out in 2nd or 3rd gear. they said it was normal and they werent going to do anything.

Used one Jasper reman, probably would be OK if your truck is 100 percent stock.

What I have found is those who sell trannies always say theirs will work.

If it were me, I would want to avoid as much pain as possible, 8K sounds more like a full billet trans, if you think the Jasper is in any way equivalent to that.....

I would check around, call HTS, Goerend and get their take on your situation.

Where are you located?

Guy I know had one in is powerstroke. He hauled hay and usually was very heavy. He was always complaining about it, mainly about it running too hot. Jasper was less than enthusatic about warranty work on it. 8k for a tranny comparision is not comparing apples to apples as mentioned above. If I had 500hp I personally would be looking elsewhere again as mentioned above Gorend, DTT etc. Probably wont be as inexpensive as a Jasper but wont be anywhere near 8k either unless you go hog wild.
