I have never seen an emissions component improve performance. I have a hard time believing that Dodge is going to turn 350HP out of a Cummins with emissions controls like EGR and cats. Imagine the non-emission mods they will have to make to get the 350 with emission components installed. It all has to be reliable enough for them to warranty too.
One thing about dealers...The service manager didn't know what CAN bus was and they were amazed I could pull DTC's from the odometer window. I had to check the sign out front again to make sure it was really a Dodge dealer I was at. I think they'd tell you a giant meteor is going to squash the Earth in 2 days if they could get you to buy today.
