Issues with Fuel
I bought some fuel a while back that caused some problems with my engine running bad. I put in a new Fuel Filter and the issue went away. After putting in Sea Foam injector cleaner and after two tanks later the water in the fuel indicator came on.
Well, yesterday i changed out the fuel filter again thinkin I may have water in there and I find the bottom of my fuel filter holder is gunked up with crud. i cleaned out the krud, wiped out the housing and cleaned the contacts for the water detection. After all that I reset the DTC and started up the engine. It runs fine but that stupid code came back up.
I'm thinking that my sensor is bad now.
What do you think it is?
Where could I order a new Sensor from?

Fill out your sig. so we know what truck your having problems with...
There is a process outlined in the owners manual for properly cleaning the WIF sensor, i would try that first if you have not already. The bad news is that it sounds like you have a alge or fungus problem...keep and eye on the condition of your fuel filter and housing and I would definently send a fuel sample to a lab and have it tested ASAP. This could be a serious problem if not corrected quickly. Hopefully someone else will chime in and give you some more tips on identifing and getting rig of that slime!!!
