Installing new clutch...stupid question
Hey guys, I have a Southbend Con OFE sitting in my bedroom waiting to go in my truck. I have some stupid questions:
1. How do I tell if the throwout bearing is good? Should I replace it even if it's still good?
2. Is there anything else I need to replace while I have the tranny out?
3. Any tips or pointers on turning the flywheel?
Thanks guys.

I always replaced the throwout bearing and pilot bushing anytime I replaced a clutch...As cheap as they are, it didn't make sense not to replace them...As far as the flywheel, unless it was badly scored or I knew it was warped, I just used a scotchbrite pad on an angle grinder to give it a non-directional finish...Pay close attention to the teeth on the flywheel also......Ben

Guess I should have looked before I posted this. I haven't opened the box yet but I've been looking on the internet a little bit and I'm pretty sure the clutch comes with a pilot and throwout bearing.
