Installing Fender Flares
I have been happy with the Bushwacker Street Fender
Flares that I have on my current '98 Ram and want to
add them to my '03 Ram when it gets in. For those
who may have installed these or other flares, does the
Cummins engine emblem at the front interfere with installation
of the front flares? If so, what is a safe way to relocate
the emblem?

The flares are a part of the Bremen board. They did not interfere with the Cummins emblem. There is a pic on my Member photo page.

Hello TinJim, yes, they will interfere with the cummins emblem, but its no big deal. Just apply a little heat with a heat gun, and take the emblem off and relocate it where ever you want to. It's just held on with a 3m adhesive tape. CC

Re:Installing Fender Flares
Appreciate the tip about using a heat gun. I imagine the 3M adhesive tape will need to be replaced.

The dealer where I bought my current Ram (soon to be traded-in) apparently didn't know about this heat gun technique. Back then, I told my salesman in no uncertain terms to not apply a dealer emblem on the back of my truck when it came in. I noticed later after bringing the truck home that the service guys had applied touch up paint in the area where the dealer emblem would go. Apparently, someone had put a dealer emblem on and then pried it off and took off some paint. I hate this whole business of dealer emblems put on lot and ordered vehicles. I don't owe the dealer any free advertising except word of mouth if deserved. (Sorry for the rant, it's a pet peeve of mine).

Jim (whose happy his order status went to "D" monday )

Got a dual 750/1500 Watt heat gun at Walmart under $20. "Hair drier on steriods" is a good discription, would definitely give you a crispy scalp!

Heat gun migh be overkill in this situation.
Hair dryer works great for the vinyl stickers
(dealer name now gone on the back of mine).
Hair dryer and fishing line works great for the plastic emblems, and yes, the 3M tape needs to be replaced.
Wonderfull stuff, keep a roll of it in my garage.
Plastic putty knife works great for any leftover adhesive, with a spritz of WD-40.
(used to have to take my windvisors off yearly on my Toyota, as they were too dark and wouldn't pass safetly inspection, then slap them right back on)
