Installed Sulastic shackles
Well, It took some time but I finally installed the Sulastics I had laying around for about a year. It is a fairly easy install.
Knowing that they would lift the rear of the truck some, I removed the 1/2" spacer plate off of the spring pack. This was the most time consuming part of the task as the nuts on the spring pack bolts were seized. In fact, one of them I worked on for more than an hour before I decided to cut it off and replace with grade 8 bolts.
The combination of the shackles and the plate removal leaves the truck at the stock ride height. It may settle some over time.
The ride is fantastic. The shackles soak up all of the harshness of bumps and holes in the road as well as adding some articulation when turning onto streets that may have deep channels for water run-off. So instead of getting the harsh spring rebound going through a dip, it is now smooth with very light rebound.
I can still feel the bumps on the freeway where the lanes have the ridges, but the truck doesn't bounce up and down anymore. I would say the bouncing of the springs over the sections of freeway that are ridged is reduced by about 50%. It could probably be better if I reduce my tire air pressure down from 65 PSI.

I didn't take any pics of the finished install. They are installed way up under the bed where you can't get a good picture. I think one of the other threads however have a pic or two.
