Injector Seal?

Injector Seal?
Guys, I'm back in NE Ohio after a quick skip to Nashville with a buddy and his 04.5. He has a Banks 6 Gun, High Ram, FIPK, and 4" straight pipe.
I stopped for fuel just south of Columbus, OH. I was going to make a quick stop at a friends house a little east of the city so I jumped on I-270. About 20 miles after stopping for fuel I noticed that the fuel gauge was already down to 3/4! I also noticed EGT's were not at the usual 800* while cruising at 70mph (His truck has a 4.10), they were approaching 1100* which is very unusual even with the juice turned all the way up. I stopped at the very next exit and while waiting at the light to make my turn off the road the check gauges light came on and the oil pressure started to take a dive. I shut it off immediately and we pushed it to the parking lot. It was very obvious we had a serious problem when the dipstick showed that we had made about 3 more gallons of foil (his term for fuel and oil). We also had the 8-10 gallons of lost fuel on the underside of the truck.
The display showed a P0524. Low Oil Pressure! No kidding, but nothing else.
Am I correct in thinking this is an injector o-ring? I believe that on the CR engines there are two o-rings, one top and one bottom.
Just looking for a little insight before he spends a chunk of change to have it repaired. Somehow he thinks it will be covered by warranty, but I think otherwise.

more likely a stuck nozzle... a low oil pressure warning lamp is bad news... that means you were running at 6lbs pressure or less... the factory gauge is a glorified idoit lamp. the ecm has no idea what the lube oil pressures are as long as they are over 6psi [the oil pressure "sensor" is basically a 6 psi hobbs switch]

I'm aware that the oil pressure gauge in the dash is not accurate. I had the DRB hooked up to my 2nd Gen on monday and at idle the oil pressure was between 24.9 and 26.1, which according to Cummins is right on to their spec of 25 at idle.
I shut the 04.5 off within 5 seconds of the light coming on and the gauge dropping.
Nick, do you think there is a possiblity that the nozzle has some garbage in it? I just watched the poor kid change the fuel filter before we left for Nashville.
On a side note, the 24HR Customer Service folks told him to take it to a specific dealer in Columbus right. He gets a call from the dealer stating that they do not have a diesel technician and that he will have to assume the additional towing charges before they will release it to another dealer. I can just see where this one is going.
