injector install copper washers

so i installed my new injectors without installing new tubes and after talking to a cummins tech he told me this is more then likely my ruff idle and smokey idle and long cranking start up problems. so i bought new crossover tubes and now want to install them but was reading about these copper washers on the bottom of the injectors.. Do i need to get new copper washers again before i install these tubes? or can i just loosen the injector and install the new tubes following the injector install procedure.?

You don't need new washers

I know that cummins says to use new connector tubes but I don't know anybody that bought new crossover tubes. Did you torque all the tubes & everything?

when there out, i torque them to 44inch pounds back off install the tube torque that to 11ft then put the injector down to 89inch pounds then 43ft on the tube...
the tubes have some marks on them and the truck runs ruff and puffs smoke and takes long to start, did this with the old injectors and now with the brand new ones i have in there now. only thing i never changed was the tubes during the installs and there are some marks on the ends and iam making oil.......

check the ends of the tubes where they meet the injector. taking them in and out can cause "slight" damage and the sealing surface will not mate up correctly and cause this very problem. clean the surface and reinstall
