Injector Cleaners

I mostly run the anti gel due to subzero temps. I've seen our winter fuel gel up sitting over night. Last winter with about a month of -40*F and colder straight folks had alot of issues with their diesels. Actually buying diesel was an issue due to the pumps being frozen.

The gel problems in MN were mostly do to the Bio in the fuel and the anti gel they use to use was not compatible with Bio. I'm told that MN and IA are now using a mix of 70% #2 and 30% #1 diesel and that sucks as I now lose another 1.5 mpg in the winter with the 70/30 winter mix compared to the #2 with anti gel they used until the winter of 08.

I've read that our fuel in Canada is more closely regulated than the States. Don't know if it's true for sure but the additive packages are supposed to be more consistent and that it is tested more often. Maybe someone from up here can comment if they know anything about it.
We don't see -40* often around Calgary but -30* each winter for a spell is likely. Last year I hit the -39* in the high country.

Just came back from 9* at night. When I'm traveling in the cold I use the white bottle of Diesel Kleen otherwise I don't use the stuff. It might not gel at those temps as it warmed up in the day but for a couple of bucks it's worth the piece of mind. I don't plan on getting in a wreck either but I have car insurance. It's more than a couple of bucks and I hate paying for it.
