Currently useing Diesel Kleen. Any reason to "clean the injection system"? If so what are the reccomenations out there?

In my opinion as long as you use a good quality fuel conditioner with the ULSD and keep the fuel filters changed regularly it won't be necessary to use an "injector cleaner"

 

The only cleaning the injectors require is to work the truck hard.

 

And run Chevron, it has a cleaner in it.

 

Does CHEVRON diesel fuel advertise additives?Cleaners? I looked up Chevron Diesel fuel and Chevron says a lot about it.But NOTHING about additives.All the question and answers on Chevron sites talk about ULSD and Bio diesel.Nothing about cleaners or additives that I could fine.

Thanks for the replies. Thought the companies were just pushing product, but thought I'd ask.

 

I am using "LUCAS" right now. I was running 2-cycle oil in the 05,then switched to lucas to give it a try. I am using the rest of the 2-cycle oil in my 90..Hope this helps. Justin
