Question I'm an idiot...

So, apparently, I thought my next oil change was supposed to be at 65,000 miles. Started looking at my records today, it was actually at 60,000 miles. Normally, I change every 5,000 miles, but missed my last one. Geez...

Would it benefit anything to attempt a "flush", by running a gallon or so of oil through before putting the plug back in and adding my normal amount?

I have used nothing but Delo 400 15w40 with Fleetguard Stratopore filter since the truck was new.

I would not worry about it, especially since Dodge recommends either 7500 miles or 15,000 miles, depending on how the vehicle is used.

Change the oil and don't sweat it, unless you have been driving daily it fine silt like conditions, you shouldn't have a worry in the world

Thanks guys for the input. Well, looks like I'll spent this evening with a cold one and some Texas country playing while I take of this!

I've always wondered what the hot-shotters do about oil changes. Every 7,500 miles could be twice a month or more for those guys. Add in the diffs, trans, t-case, anti-freeze, etc. at their recommend intervals and that's a lot of down-time.
