The only thing that is done is the converter when the extra power toasts it.

Is it normal does yours do it or do we have a problem
also two different dealers and techs worked on our trucks so cant be an error on the tech.

thanks guys.

If you back off the throttle when this is happening does it go away? It definately does sound like you are overpowering that converter, which really isnt too hard to do. You might be able to get away with just doing a valvebody and converter upgrade as long as there are no other issues in the transmission. This will allow you to run that extra 50-60hp without any issues.

I agree, when I had old beta 4.4 and the stock converter, I could slip it whenever I wanted to. Once it was locked I could still make it slip and shudder like crazy and I could ease back some and it would stop.

Yeap, that is what I have. Towing under the right circumstances you will slip the converter very easy. If it does it make sure you back off of it or bad things will happen. LOL!!!! I could slip mine at 55-60 MPH going up a rolling hill towing with my Quad on level 1 and that being the only mod that was done besides exhaust and AFE stage 1.

No Goerend issues at all LOL..... You guys having a panic attack....LOL It was my stock tranny. I upgraded everything in my signature before I roasted my tranny. That was before the smarty and a few other things.

You had me worried there for a second. I am really looking into goerend for a built trans and have never heard of anything like that. should have known better.
