I think my lift pump is going south READ??
I went up to WACO today to pickup a horse trailer. When I got the trailer, I was headed south about 15 miles and the engine would cut out about every five miles, just like someone was turning the engine off and back on again, like the injection pump was cavatating. I dont know. The turbo would bark and I turned the TST off and it still did it. I am going to take the truck to the dealership monday. Yes the TST will be missing in action. The pump is making some noise when its idling. Let me know something if my theory is correct. I could only do about 60 miles an hour if I went faster it would cut out Thanks Don
Who makes and aftermarket pusher pump, because one is going on the truck after the dealer.

From what I have gathered, the stock lift pumps on the 3rd gens or no better than the likes of the stock unit I had on my 99 - which I replaced with a Holley Blue back by the tank. That worked great for me in that application.
I have been trying to keep up with the evolution for pushers on the 3rd gen. Looks like the Air Dog deserves a good "look-see".
Also, I am putting a fuel pressure gauge on my rig. Even stock, I think the pumps need some close attention.
