Red face I got some smoke...

Wife was watching me leave the house-rowing through the gears, and later she said I had black smoke out the pipe.
I assume this is normal with the edge EZ? Later that night I took the truck out and got on the pedal, and yep, smoke in the headlights behind me. Haven't taken off the EZ-don't wanna.....I'm guessing it's normal, right? Anyone else have smoke with or w/o the EZ??

Yep, even before the 275's, and I have an auto. The smoke tells me things are workin like they should.

BTW, when you get the itch for more power, take the ez off and run around for a while. Then put it back on and

later,

Casey

If I really romp on it, especially up hills, I will put out some smoke.

On mine with the EZ and 275's I get some shift smoke, no pull smoke detectable, but at night in the headlights, there is a lot.

Yea, I get it too. Love to wind it up tight at night entering the freeway after driving around town all day. Puts out a nice plume. I'm sure the cars aren't real impressed. But, I like it!!!

That's what I miss about my old IDI ford, just the smoke it could make. This 2003 doesn't smoke at all, so I guess I'm going to have to get an EZ or comperable so I can make some smoke again. Love this truck.

I get some smoke out of my 04...... I have to watch for it, but it does dump some out under WOT. It's a lot more noticeable at night in headlights than it is durning the day.

No mods on the truck thus far........ just an 800 mile pull with a 8500lb trailer

I have the bully dog torque dog on my 03 H.O. but it only pumps out the black smoke when I give it full thottle under 1500rpm. After that it cleans up, and there is only a little bit of haze.
