The shifter uses 10mm x 1.5 threads so most likely a threaded adapter will be needed.

The grip has a threaded hole in the bottom that's pretty large. It comes with a few inserts to match the stick. Screw the insert into the hole in the grip, and then screw it onto the shifter.

Many times the grip and adapters don't come anywhere near fitting the stick you have. They want you to buy a whole stick. A little JB works wonders here.

CD in NM has a nice billet handle on hers. It was built by a disabled vet. She is going to get me the info so i can get one for mine when I do the tranny swap. I will have her send me a pic and I will post thru photobucket for her.

I too am interested in the old Hurst pistol grip shift handles and who might be selling that style. I've seen other pistol grip shift handles with the various threaded adapter inserts but they don't really look like the old school grips from the late 60's and early 70's.

My Hurst tee handle is from the early 60s and I have had it on at least 8 or 9 different trucks. The Hurst name is starting to show some wear where it is cast into the handle. When I got it it did not have any adapters it was
3/8ths NF and when I got into metric gear shift levers I just drilled and tapped it to the metric size. When I installed my gear vendors I drilled out the end of the tee handle and installed a push button switch to turn the Gear vendors overdrive unit on or off. Once you get used to the Hurst tee handle nothing else is as good.

I got mine froma guy in PA, this is the same handle I have, just not sure if this is where I got it, but this place is in PA and the amount is what I paid. I can't find my receipt, too long ago, tucked away in tax stuff from 2006 or 2007 ????

I spoke with the fellow on the phone, asked about the threading. I am not sure, but I think he was a vet from the more recent ME stuff ???
