Unhappy how long

I don't know if this is the right place to ask it but how long does it usually take to unload a vehicle from a rail car? According to the shipment and status history that i keep checking on - it arrived in Buffalo on 3-03-04 and now has a future unloading date of 3-9-04 - but they keep changing that every day to the following date and keep putting off my delivery date by 2 days each time. Getting very frustrating.

Also once I take possession of the truck what should I look for as to the problems that have been discussed so far? Do they show up on the first drive?

Hang in there spudman, don't go ballistic yet. When you get the truck, drive it and enjoy it. I wouldn't spend too much energy looking for problems with it - that would seem to be counter-productive.

When you do get a quiet moment, I'd crawl under the truck and stick finger into each diff and see if it gets wet with lube oil.

Angry Same here!

It shows about eight days for my truck to get off the train. I too really hope this is a generous amount of time because I want to pick up my truck before leaving on a trip so it doesn't sit at the dealer the whole time I'm gone!

Actually, 8-10 days is about right.

That's about how long it took for mine. from arrival at railyard to dealer was right at 8 or 9 days.

I way I figued it was a day or two, maybe three to get it off the train. A few days in the yard waiting for a load then however long to the dealer.

Be paitent, it will be worth it.

Spudman, do a long thorough test drive when it does come in BEFORE you complete deal. I wish I did!:

Does anyone have some experience or an estimate for the time between the truck being unloaded from the train and being delivered to the dealer? My dealer is in the Reno NV area and it was unlaoded in Benicia CA. Thanks! I'm getting a little impatient!
