Hi guys im new here to your site , I need a little help im thinking about buying 2004 2500 ram diesel with 86000 km . wondering if you may have any input on what to look for and if theres trucks have any problems that i need to know . Im going to be useing if for a daily driver and work . I now own a 2002 f250 gaser , so im jumping ship and hoping that im doing the right thing so any help would be great . THANKS

I don't know anything about the third gen trucks but I'm sure you would get a little more exposure in one of the third gen forums, perhaps one of the good mods can move it for you.

best bet would use the search button. look up like 3d gen problems, or something to that effect.

 

I Owned A F350 Diesel Crewcab, 1 Ton Chevy Diesel Crewcab And Now Have A 02 Dodge 2500 Diesel And Lord Willing Will Always Own A Dodge!!!! The Only Problem I Have Had Is With The Fuel Pump Replaced It And She's Never Let Me Down!!!

 

I own a 04.5 theres a differince between 04 and 04.5. Its a great pickup. my old work trick was a 03 ford diesel, I offten pulled 5000pd plus. at the time I owned a 96 dodge. the 96 pulled much better then the ford. my 04.5 pulles alot better then my old 96 cummins. ALOT BETTER then the 03 ford,alot. In my mind its the best thing going.
