Help transmission problem

help my truck just started shifting weird from first to second. when it shifts from first it kind of hunts for second. all shifts seem a little softer than usual. my transmission has a presision triple lock converter and the new trans go shift kit. the trans has 26,000 miles on it and has had a p 1740 code for the last 6 months but has operated normally with the code.

any help would be greatly appreciated

thank's
ryan

Normal excelleration is when the hunting usually occures. WOT the transmission knows where to be.

The best advice would be to call your installer and see what they think. I know it's not much help and not what your looking for but they are the most qualified at this point.

I just got my truck back from dealer. They are claiming that they are having trouble with the bands on second gear. They took 2nd gear band out and replaced with a new one. The truck was only down for a day. My truck now shifts better and it seems that the fuel mileage has gone up a little on my city driving.
