Help!! Transmission does not gets out of 1st gear unless..
hello everyone, My dad has a problem with his 2006 Ram 5.9L it has around 75K miles and is a auto.
here is the problem:
when he takes off the truck does not gets out of first gear unless he takes his foot off the gas pedal or unless he is very gentle(drive really slow).
I have searched here bunch of times looking for a solution and apparently found the solution "governor pressure solenoid" so I send him this part(the truck is in dominican republic) a transmission shop replaced the solenoid and the problem still there so the governor pressure solenoid was not the problem
anybody had this problem before or has an idea of what could be?
thanks in advance.

Ok I checked error codes and found none. I took the truck to a local Tranny shop and he scanned it. He told me the tranny is ok that when the trailer (lights) is hooked up it is sending a power feed back that is causing the problem. So I'm going to hook the boat up w/o trailer lights and see what happens.

Band adjustment
Update:.......
they just finish the band adjustment and they say that overall it shift a lot better but the problem still there.
So since they already replaced the governor solenoid I quess the transducer is next.
