Help..Threw code P0202, ran rough, now running fine? Need opinions
So the wife was driving the truck and it was running rough, no power, and threw the above code. The code means the PCM detected a fault in the injector or wiring to the injector.
SO I spend all day, couple hundred bucks to get it to the nearest diesel mechanic, drop it off, and I get a call saying they cleared the codes and now is running fine, power good, and no engine light. What do I want to do???
I told them to check further, as they didn't pull the vavle cover or anything....
SO, my question is, is it worth the money to have them check into it further?
If it is not symtomatic at this time, what are the chances that they are going to find something? Am I jsut wasting my money having them investigate further? Or do I just go pick it up and drive it.
Opinions would be appreciated

With that code, I would be looking at several things. First the least expensive thing is the valve cover gasket. You can ohm it out with out removing it by removing the two plugs on the drivers side of the engine. This will ohm out the harness in the valve cover gasket and the injectors. If you get one reading higher then the others then you will have to pull the valve cover to find out if it was the injector or the harness. With the code going away and the engine running normal, I would say you still have a problem and you will see this again.
