It is the symptom of the APPS going out for sure. Is yours mounted on the top of the intake manifold on the front top of the engine or under the battery case? Either way it is an expensive item from Dodge parts, a little cheaper from Cummins and I think there are some aftermarket replacements.

Mine which the entire Bell Crank assembly on the top of the intake listed at 531.00 from the dealer parts. I paid less with discounts but still expensive.

Not hard to change, just expensive.

In this case it might be wise to take to dealership and have them put APP sensor on. If it doesn't fix problem they would have to reinstall your old sensor for no charge. Otherwise if you install the part they will not take it back. Electrical parts have a no return policy once installed. Make sure you tell them you want your old part back. It could also be a wiring problem or ECM problem. Good luck

I'd hedge my bet on the APPS sensor, being that you have the 3 codes that deal with the APPS. Can get it from a Cummins shop for about $350 and it's easy to change out.
If you want to verify that it's bad, clean the contacts on the plug and do the re-learn preocedure for it (it's posted here..search). If it works fine for a little bit and then dead pedal again, you can be confident it's the APPS.

Is it mounted on the intake manifold or under the drivers battery case??

The one mounted on the intake manifold comes as the complete bracket and sensor together. I think it is called the bell crank assembly.

The Mopar Part Number for that unit is 53031575AH.

'05 is when the APPS was moved under the driver's battery.

Not so my '03 has it mounted under the battery.
From what I have read and seen there is no set location for the TPS for 2-3 year models, it like what ever they had on the shelf is what was installed.

I think 05 was when it moved to true drive by wire and the sensor went to the accelerator pedal.

like he said above I have seen 03 and 04/04.5 in both locations. I wish mine was under the battery. Just in the way on the intake.

Probably depends on the tranny, 6-sp or auto.

Mike, there is no certain pattern to it. I have seen it both ways on autos and manuals. And I think all years....03-im pretty sure at least 06. Not sure why.

My '03 6spd with HO motor is under the battery. The donor motor I put in came from an '03 auto, SO motor. It was mounted on the intake manifold. Looks just like the one on my 2001.
