Hastings filters OK?

I've heard all about the FRAM fiasco, and up to this point I've had a contact at a local dealership for cheap MOPAR filters. That has gone by the wayside, however, and I'm left looking for replacements on my own. There's a local farm supply store that sells Hastings stuff for reasonable prices. Are their filters for oil, fuel, and air commonly thought to be acceptable for the Cummins?

I believe they are, but why not get the filter made for your engine, Fleetguard Stratapore filters. You can get them online from Geno's Garage among other places. BTW. Mopar filter are rebadged Fleetguards.

You can also get Fleetguards at large truck dealerships like Kemworth. The dealer I uses has very good prices on them. I don't know what you paid but I just paid $8.34 plus tax for mine at a Kenworth dealership. They always have them in stock as well.

Hastings are not acceptable to my knowledge.

Go Fleetguard or Mopar.

They sell the Mopar filters on Ebay.
