Any of you guys ever had extended crank times when truck is parked on a steep decline with the front of truck pointing down hill? What could be causing that, any ideas?

 

Is this the first time it has done it??

 

Maybe this TSB?

TSB number 18-003-06 REV. A dated September 27, 2006. The text of the TSB says:

"The vehicle operator may experience extended engine crank time in cold ambient
temperatures on vehicle equipped with manual transmissions.

This Flash also provides the following enhancements:

* Improved Automatic Transmission shifting
* Engine fan is activated if the coolant temperature sensor fails
* Enhanced battery charging"

No, it is not the first time this has happened. Hard start flash done about six months ago this just started when i downloaded the Triple Dog and started parking on a decline at work. I do not know if it is the Bully Dog,decline or something else, also just changed my fuel filter last week which did not seem to help.

 

Yeah man I have a 06 and had the long crank time reflash done!! Then I tried the Bully Dog Triple Dog and it made mine hard start again!!!!! Take the Bully Dog off and then you will have 2 have it reflashed again!! That will take care of ur problem!! I installed a Quad. race and Commander with no problems after reflash!! I would consider selling the Quad. race and Commander!! PM if ur interested!!

 

ronc Thats funny you said parking on a decline nose down or backed in? I seen mine do it nose in but when i back it in it does not do it .

 

If i back it in i will be going the wrong way on a one way street.
