Had some help from the kids tonight...

First, a big thanks to the DTR store and GDP for their awesome customer service. Took a few pics tonight while doing the fuel filter delete. Good product from GDP...

Good to see kids that are willing to hang with the old man, and do something, rather than just plant in front of the latest video game.

Good Job Mark

Oh yeah, GDP. You'll go a LONG way to find a more standup guy than Richard Martin. Truly one of the best in the business

Yeah, they're getting big, Rick. Funny how big that tire is next to them, tho...

Yeah, Pind, I wish I had more stuff to do with them.

I got my junk slapped by a concerned member here for not putting PPE on the kids... noted, and good point. I usually have them in it, but one can't be too careful...

Guessing your boys are around the 8-10 age, I remember my Dad giving me some beer at that age, it was along time before I ever wanted to try it again.

I hope so. I'm trying to start them off a lot earlier than I got started.

Sad thing was, they liked it. "Dad, can we have some more?"

Uh, oh. Gonna have to put a lock on the keg tap...

lol Or you could let them have their fill and regret it all in the morning But I'm not a parent and I think that might get you a visit from CPS.

Good to see kids out there working on the truck. Ever since I could remember I was outside with Dad working on the vehicles..."hold this", "go get me that wrench".."hurry up!"

My dad was not the mechanically inclined but my grand dad was. I was always out with him "holding the light" watching him work. I would get mad cause all he let me do was "hold the light" but I can say now that I learned alot by doing that.

Yeah, I don't think that's a good idea! I might let them have a sip every now and then, but I'm not gonna be cool with them really drinking... I've been trying to teach them the difference between ratchet sizes and socket types now. It's a lot of fun when I have time.

When I was growing up, I was thrust into the 'fixing crap' stuff on my first job... I learned a lot just by having to figure it out on my own.

Make sure you use some type of sealer on the two electric
plugs to you disconnected from stock housing.
Water in fuel light will come on if you don't.

I covered the contacts with some dielectric silicone, and then used about half a roll of electrical tape on each one, and then zip tied them out of the way... good looking out.

Thanks madhat.
