grill guard

Looks like my trucks been shipped from Mexico a few days ago.I guess that's close enough to being a Dodge guy now.Drove Ford diesels since 83.
I was wondering if any of you have the Dodge grill guards?Pros or cons?
Also,I heard you are not suppose to drill holes in the new hydro-formed frames. Is this true?I want to run after market running boards(save the paint,I run a lot of washboard roads)and was wondering how you are suppose to mount them.
This is great site with tons of information I would have never known about. Thanks!

You can drill holes, but there is a spefication you must follow. Such as hole size, distance between hole. I do believe you cannot put holes in the top or bottom of the frame. I think the spec is defined somewhere in www.dodge.com/bodybuilders. Good luck.
