Governor Pressure Solenoid questions

I have an 06 Mega Cab and my Governor Pressure Solenoid is acting up every now and then. (tranny hunts between 1st and 2nd at low throttle) The question I have is.....will this part leave you stranded or is it just something that is annoying ? I have a long trip at the end of the month, and I don't know if I will be able to get it fixed by then.
Also, does anyone know the part numbers to fix this ? How expensive is it ?
I have an extended powertrain warranty with a $100 deductible. If I can easily do it myself for $150, I will probably do that, as opposed to leaving the truck at the dealer for the day.

I have an 06 mega and they fixed it for free. Now I have only 10K miles and have the extended chrysler also. I don't think it will leave you stranded but it could get worse. The silenoid just isn't working correctly so unless you are at speed that is 1st or 2nd gear all the time you wouldn't notice it. Also you get a free transmission service while they're in there as the TSB says to replace the ATF. I had them clean the filter too.
