Gear Box Issue

Has anyone had this happen to them yet? I hope not, you should think about upgraded to the larger gear box with bigger diameter pitman arm and inner tie rod if you own a lifted truck and it is 4X4. No warning when it breaks but complete loss of steering.

That sucks! You can tell it has been cracked for a while by the rust.

How fast were you going when it broke??

Wasn't my truck I was just the lucky tech that had to work on it. Third one I had to repair with snapped off pitman shaft. Always a 4X4 truck that was lifted with oversize off road tires. I just hope the new gear boxes hold up. The dropped pitman arm needs to be replaced also.
