I saw the post with this number you have posted, but what confused me is that if you go to the Goodyear Gatorback site and put in the discription of your truck, Goodyear Gatorback, it comes up the #4081261.

Even if I do a 03 or 05, it still comes up with #4081261.

This is the reason for my post, I'm looking for someone who has actually installed a Gatorgback on a 3rd gen, so I can get the right number.

Thanks for your help.

Belt

Those are part numbers, and each can be a bit different. Nowadays they all have metric numbers and the one you need is a 8PK3202. That is the exact same size as the belt that's on the truck now. I have an 05 and am looking to get a belt for it as a spare and so far Autozone dosn't have that number. I e-mailed good year but didn't get anything back. Just have to wait a bit longer I guess. I do know that on my v-10 they quieted down the drives considerable, lasted longer, was quieter, and I loved it. Never broke one on that truck and it was on there a while. I don't know the exact other number for the belt, but whatever number you get the 8PK3202 will be on it also. (8 is # of ribs, PK is type of belt, 320 is cm lenght, and 2 is in 10ths of a cm.)

Has anyone found a Gatorback number for trucks equipped with the Jacobs Exhaust Brake? The Cummins part number is 3947077 but would prefer the Gatorback if I can find it.

What's so special about the gatorback other than it stops the famous cummins chirp on shut down? I've got 87k on my factory belt and it looks brand new. No telling how many times it's been sunk in the mud.

I saw a post some time ago for belt to be used in case of emergencies if the A/C compressor were to freeze. The belt is obviously shorter. Has anyone seen or heard of this before? Wouldn't mind carrying one with me just in case.
