Gates Water Pumps?

Is this the Gates of rubber belt and hose fame? If so, I wouldn't hesitate to get a part with their name on it. They have been first quality for almost 100 years.

Plastic whooda whatta? Not an ounce of plastic on the Cummins water pump

Sorry all, a water pump is the most basic mechanical piece of equipment on a vehicle. And to top it off, our water pump is even more basic than basic. $46 out the door for a brand new (not rebuilt) water pump from Advance Auto. 9000 miles on it already and working like a champ.

Actually the original problem was a thermostat/ Caused a couple of over heats short ones but enough. Killed the water pump. So I just got one from a Cummins repair shop by me Jim Flynn's truck repair in Glen Gardener NJ. Great place with a very knowledgeable and help full staff that will be getting my business from now on. The part cost me only part number 2881805.
