gas in the fuel tank

Truck started running funny, and we think that the wrong fuel was added, or gas was put in the tank. What would happen if gasoline was added to Diesel.

Small percentage of gas to diesel....not much! ~3-5% I think!

Higher percentage, could be Lift pump, Injection pump and injector lubrication issues, leading to near or medium term failure.

Straight gas (3-5% diesel), I would expect major running problems IF it starts! I think this applies mostly to older diesels: Can cause major mechanical failures!
