From another list I'm on, posted by one of the mods 3 weeks ago: "The G56 is a medium-truck 6-speed manual, designed and built by DaimlerChrysler for Mercedes and Freightliner medium duty trucks in

The G56 also has a dual mass flywheel, instead of as single larger plate. Since this post, the G56's have been put on restriction as you've probably read here. Rumors have mentioned a couple of possible reasons, which you've probably also read on DTR. You know how it goes with new things....it can take a while to get the bugs out.
