G56 noise
#2
I have the same noise. I just attributed it to the position of the shifter. My thinking is 3rd and 5th allow tranny/engine noise to enter the cabin and 2nd, 4th and 6th seem to muffle it. I hope thats all it is.

I dont really use 1st that much. When I do it is usually an accident because I forgot which truck I'm driving. But I havent noticed any noise in 1st either. Maybe because I dont stay in it very long (whats it good for? 5-7 mph?) Plus here lately I've started using mostly 2nd, 4th and 6th. Usually only utilize 3rd and 5th in stop-n-go traffic.

No noises here. Got 7,000 miles on it and couldnt ask for a better engine and trans combo. Whats this "FIRST" gear you guys speak of? Are you guys reffering to that ungodly lowlowlow left and up position? I only use it by accident and then it throws all your starting out shifts off. I dont even hit that gear with the Deere behind unless I am on a good hill
All and all I love the G56. Everyone complains about the low gearing but it actually saved me. I was acustom to setting the PowerJoke on about 80MPH and just cruising but with this thing 65MPH is tops for me. Once in a while maybe a 75 or 80 MPH blast to break up the carbon. It was just a matter of time before I got busted in the FlowerPoke.
