G56 leaking...Were from?

Hey guys changed the oil today and noticed some ATF all over both sides of my tranny, like its running down the sides, it seems like i remember a thread about some kind of seal on the top of the tranny leaking, like a shifter boot or something like that? Any help would be appreciated!

I've got 32k miles on my truck, when I changed the clutch this weekend I found the seal around the shifter already had a hole in it. Dodge calls it a "shift tower boot" and it's over $100 up here. Easy to change.

That is right; it is the boot on top of the shift tower. Pop off the dust cover, take out the center console, unscrew the splash cover and unthread the shifter. The orange oil boot will come right off. I just cleaned mine up and fixed the silts with silicone. You can get a new one, bur sometimes they are on backorder and are not cheap.

If i was going to change my tranny fluid could i pour it down the top when i replace the seal, instead of having to crawl on the cold concrete?

Sure, you can dump it in the top; it would be a lot faster since you will have the top off. The NV6500 guys will put an extra quart in this way.
