Amsoil ATF universal fluid.
Not sure about capacity.
Fill through the top PTO cover bolt.

Amsoil Universal ATF, 6 quarts. You can top off the tranny by putting 2 wheels up on a curb or block making a side tilt instead of going through the tower. I installed a set of Fast Coolers with my G56 tranny fluid change, added more capacity and cooling. I also added a temp sensor at the same time.

Fast coolers add one quart per side.

Where are you guys getting the Fast Coolers? I have only seen them for the NV5600.

I got mine directly from Fast Cooler. You have to also get the kit for the G56, includes metal spacers(gasket like) and metric bolts. I contacted Geno's and they told me they were not available for the G56 so I contacted Fast Cooler. http://www.fastcoolers.com/index.html

So a stock G56 holds 4 quarts, correct? does that include the extra 1.5 quarts they had to add to the early 05's that had a hold on them for dry bearings causing the main bearing failure? then the fastcoolers would add 2 more to the 4, making a total of 6 quarts with the coolers installed. OR is it 6 quarts with a stock G56, then 2 more if you have the coolers for a total of 8 plus the 1.5 extra which would then make it 9.5? I think i just confused myself!

The coolers fit both the NV5600 & the G56.
