Fuel Pressure question, 05

So I recently installed a fuel pressure warning light, that triggers off a 5psi ground switch (BD Diesel kit). It would always come on flickering and sometimes steady under WOT, but since I took the muffler off, it comes on A LOT more. Now it starts to flicker under half throttle or so, and really lights up steady at anything more than that. Could it be that it's just because I've got almost 8K on this filter, or that the muffler delete caused the motor to need more fuel sooner b/c it revs fast (less back pressure), or that my pump is starting to go, or that the pressure switch is bad? So many questions, with no understanding of what the stock '05 pump should be doing. I can't swing the Quad rail / pump pressure guage quite yet, so I'm hoping you guys know something I don't . . .

I have the Quad Commander on mine. I would read steady 8# at idle & cruz stock. Even in stock form, I could pull the gauge down to 2-3psi. With the freer flowing exhaust, it's allowing your turbo to push more air quicker, which will tell the computer it needs more fuel. I would recommend upgrading the intake pump to a FASS, Glacier or etc if you don't want to see that light go on.

I haven't purchased a glaceir pump as of yet since the big chief says I have to get a bed cargo divider & tow hooks before I can buy anymore preformance parts. Oh well, life at that tough, I'm half way there!
